  LightShaft
Basements are often under utilized in homes, due to lack of light and ventilation. LightShaft addresses these issues, and allows basement rooms to offer similar amounts of light and ventilation as above ground rooms.
 
 

 


Why use LightShaft?

Grate Options

Expanded mesh grate - foot loading

Mesh grate - light vehicles

Security lock holds grate into position and
only allows grate to be released from inside building


Accessories

Riser units are available where a deeper LightShaft is required,
A maximum of 3 risers can be used. If more than one riser is used, a reinforcing frame should be used.


To prevent water build-up in the base of the LightShaft a drainage connection with leaf guard is available to fit Schedule 35 4” pipe.

For a more durable/aesthetic
edge a stainless steel frame is available to sit over the standard FRP edge.


A safety glass cover is available that can be
used in conjunction with the grate to protect
the LightShaft from leaves, rain water and dirt.
It does not restrict light or ventilation
